I guess I never really thought about how different things would be for my husband and I when we had our first baby, but we always vowed that we would not stop traveling just because we had kids. Well, now that Aliana (our first) has started joining us on our travels, (at least while she still travels for free!) we have maybe just a bit more empathy toward those people who choose not to travel with children... We get it now. It's harder with kids. You have to plan more... and things don't always go according to plan.
But we still choose to travel.
Aliana is having a blast learning about this world around her and the world is loving getting to know Aliana.
And the learning curve for my husband and I has been HUGE so far.
The fact that I am even writing this blog at this moment is evidence.... My husband is out and about in Kyoto, enjoying his last evening in Japan, and I am finally starting my very first blog in our hotel room, while our daughter sleeps. Now, before you start getting the wrong idea about my husband, you should know that before he left, he bathed and fed Aliana while I was enjoying my time at a natural hot springs, so yeah, I let him have a night out on the town.
...not that it's always easy. Our stroller has seen better days. It was never intended to travel over the ancient stones of Asian temples, but it's hanging in there. This stroller has nearly racked up an award ticket for frequent flyer miles already and we've only had it (and our daughter!) for 7 months.
Herein chronicles the days of The Well-Traveled Stroller.
cute. i like. some of us would still love to travel... with our very active kids, if it were not for the crazy amount of money it takes for 4 tickets! love the background. so glad I am your first follower! :)
